Electricity without greenhouse gas emissions

The only fuel consumed by wind power is indirect: carbon fuels used for the production of materials & equipment, for the construction of the wind power plant, and its maintenance.

In general, these indirect emissions are small compared to the emission reduction from wind power plants in carbon-intensive electricity production systems.
